do they still make the Hans Rudolph 7600 V2 Full Face Mask

by Jeanette Churchill

My son is disabled and has crebral palsy. He has had to use Cpap now for about 7 years. But we have so much trouble finding a mask that fits (we live in the uk but have even traveled to Belgium to find a mask)as Jamie has a very long face, and full face masks cause pressure sores on the bridge of his nose.
He is also a mouth breather.
Finally we found the Hans rudolph 7600 full face mask, but we have been told by out DR's that they are no longer being made. Is this correct?
I am also looking at the Innomed hybrid if all else fails.

Thank you so much for all of the ideas. In the uk all Cpap equipment is free, so cost is not the issue, But finding the correct mask that fits and provides a good seal is what's so difficult.
Our Dr has ordered a innomed hybrid for us to try, so fingers crossed out there!
Thanks again

• You can still purchase the Hans Rudolph Mask. Try any of the stores on the internet. Also look up for the local Manufacturer / Distributor and ask for a sample. They might provide you with one.

• Consider using a CPAP Mask Liner or a Gecko Gel Pad to help with the bruising. This has helped a lot of people.

• Go to your Sleep Physician and just ask if they have a sample mask to spare. At least here in the United States a good many of them ( not all) will give a free sample mask they have laying around. Never hurts to ask. Most physicians are very concerned with the patient being compliant with the therapy & not finding a reason to give up.

• Of all the Hybrids CPAP Masks, Innomed’s – “The Hybrid” in my personal opinion has a higher success rate and likeability by CPAP users. Of course as you can imagine I cannot vouch that it will be liked by your son.

Some internet stores have a return policy that you pay an additional price for. Inquire about it and see if it makes sense or if it is cost effective also. Same thing with your local Home Medical Equipment company.

I hope this helps a little bit.
