This Years Best CPAP Accessories For Sale and For Comfortable Sleep.

"I had to look twice. Thought it was stupid first. Thought about it some more. Then bought it. Best decision ever."…

  • Remarks made by a Sleep Apnea patient of ours  who wanted to "give up" on using his CPAP until we showed him this years best CPAP accessories for sale  and  for comfortable sleep. (This is a very typical response we get from so many of our patients.)

Cleaning Cpap Accessories that help with cleaning and reduce infections.

1. SoClean2 .

The best cleaning system for your CPAP machine, tubing, humidifier reservoir and mask is the SoClean2.

  •  Every week I work with  many CPAP patients who purchased this. They love and absolutely swear by it. If your immune system is chronically weak and you are susceptible to infections then please consider getting this.
  • If you don't have time to clean your CPAP equipment as often as you need to ....give this a try.
  • It sanitizes and disinfects your CPAP accessories.
  • The parent company are running a promotion right now ( using this link ) where if you are not satisfied with the SoClean2 within the 30 day trial period, return it for a full refund.  The bad part is if you try to purchase SoClean2 from your local medical equipment company you will not get this promotion.
  • This video below  shows you how it works.

2. Wipes - a)  Unscented     b) Scented

  • No more yucky smell from your DROOL, Sweat, Facial Oils & Mucous .
  • Use this when you can't wash your CPAP mask daily.  I find this very practical & useful. Use it on days you can't wash you mask.
  • I always pack some of these wipes in a sandwich bag  when I travel. Very practical.

3. Spray

  • Keeps your mask clean the safe and easy way. This spray is specially formulated to naturally clean and protect your mask without the use of harmful chemicals.
  • It is gentle on hands and face, yet effectively removes dirt, grease, oils and other organic residue from your mask, keeping it clean and fresh.
  • Per the manufacturer it is a 100% natural formula  that is derived from coconut and other plant extracts, and contains no unpleasant or strong fragrances.
  • 8 ounce size is ideal for travel.
  • BUTTT....Some people who have a hyper "sensitive" sense of  smell do pick up on the coconut fragrance and yes it does bother those individuals .)

4. CPAP Brush .  There is 2 types..... a) Fits 22 mm diameter regular CPAP  Tubing    or          b) Fits either a 15 mm & 18 mm diameter  CPAP tubing  like the ResMed Slim Line Tubing or the Respironics Performance Tubing 15mm diameter tubing.

  • It is next to impossible to properly clean your cpap hose (tubing).
  • Anytime you have moisture in a dark, enclosed space, your chance of mold or bacteria breeding inside increases. Especially if you use a CPAP heated humidifier!
  • A  CPAP Tube Brush is a cleaning tool used to clean the interior of your CPAP hose. It is a 5-foot galvanized flexible stem with brush at the end. Soft brushes that are gentle to your CPAP hose.
  • Warning - If you know you are a heavy handed / rough handed person by nature  then please dont get this....you have to insert the brush with some gentleness into your tubing. Otherwise you can rip your tubing. The average user has no issues with it.)

5.  Hurricane

  •  If you are bothered by the fact that your CPAP tubing  and mask does not dry within a day then maybe consider this.
  • In our opinion the SoClean2 is so much more versatile & you will get so much more use out of it than the Hurricane

LEAKS -  Cpap Accessories that help get rid of  Cpap Mask Leaks.

1. CPAP Mask Liners - Instead of buying a different type of mask try this effective and cheaper option first. These are the 2 best ones:

~      Remzzzs Liners

  • Most popular, thinner material, very soft. usually comes with a forehead liner also.
  • Negatives... takes a little more practice to get it to stay in place.
  • It works !

2.   CPAP Hose Management Devices (Why we feel this is an absolute must have)

In our opinion this must come packaged with every CPAP and BiPAP machine.

a) Bro-Gho

  • In our opinion it is one of the best one out there. I personally use it.
  •  Every CPAP & BiPAP patient of mine who I know have bought it ...Love It.
  • When you turn in bed, this thingy reduces the probability of you getting entangled in your CPAP hose (tubing) which would normally tug on your mask and create an irritating mask leak in the middle of the night.
  •  My CPAP tubing doesn't even touch me.
  •  Very well made - Steel.
  • Negatives..... It is heavy. You can't travel with it  unless you get their travel version.
  • Cost  more money than the one below.

b) Clip

  • It works for a small population of CPAP users and for certain masks only. You clip it to your pajamas or t-shirt.
  • Honestly....please consider any of the above  2 options first before this one.

3.  Best CPAP Pillows For Side Sleepers

These speciality pillows are specifically designed for CPAP side sleepers to turn from one side to the other so that your mask is not knocked out of place. There is a proliferation of manufacturers in this field. Please read the reviews of other CPAP users who bought them.

Seriously pay close attention to:

  • Did it work
  • Smell from the material it is made from. (This is a major issue if you have Respiratory issues or sensitivity to chemical like odors.)
  • Sufficient Neck Support
  • Thickness
  • Softness / Firmness

4.  GEL Pad

  • This is a soft gel padding that acts as an additional layer of cushioning that protects the bridge of your nose.
  •  Seriously reduce nasal bridge skin irritation and  soreness, and mask leaks in to your eyes.
  • It only works with CPAP Nasal  and Full Face MAsks. Not Nasal Pillows.
  •  Keep this in mind .... wash your face before using and dry off. Even though you are have dried off your facial skin it  is still moist ....this helps make the gel pad stick better. Wash the gel pad and that improves the stickiness also.
  • Realistically you will need to replace it monthly.....the irritating part is as the days goes on the effectivness does start to deminish.
  • In our experience it helps control leaks slightly above 50% of CPAP users only. It does a much better job reducing nasal bridge soreness. For many people this is a much cheaper and effective solution rather paying a lot of money for a new CPAP mask.

CPAP Swollen Eyes  -  Cpap Accessories that help address Eye Dryness ... CPAP Eye Edema Solutions.

If you have ever complained to yourself about... cpap swollen eyes, swelling under the eyes, eye irritation from cpap, hurting eyes, puffy eyes and persistently your eyes having burning sensation...... the problem is your mask is leaking. You must find a solution for it.

1. Systane or Optive Sensitive

  • Many of our patients have found such great relief using these various family of products to overcome their eye irritation, grittiness, scratchiness, burning and stinging caused by their CPAP use.
  • There is 3 layers of tears - Oil Layer, Water Layer & Mucous Layer. If your CPAP dries them up, you can leave parts of your cornea momentarily exposed……very dangerous.

2.  Sleep Glasses.

  • These are glasses that prevent air in eyes from cpap.
  • This does not solve the problem of the mask leaking into your eye. It is only a "bandage".
  • You have to fix the cause of it.
  • However we have worked with a good number of sleep apnea patients who in their opinion have "tried every CPAP mask under the sun" and only likes to use one particular type of mask but it happens to leak towards the eye. They insist on using the same mask because to them it is the most comfortable mask. They simply refuse to further try any newer mask  or threaten to give up using CPAP all together.
  •  In that case ONIYX used to be the brand we recommended but it no longer is sold. What a shame.
  • The other type we have recently heard people liked but cannot personally vouch for it is the "Buck 40 Blinks".

3. CPAP Mask Liners - Instead of buying a different type of mask try this effective and cheaper option first. These are the best ones:

 Remzzzs Liners

  • Most popular, thinner material, very soft. usually comes with a forehead liner also.
  • It works !

CPAP and Dry Mouth  -  Cpap Accessories that help address CPAP Machine and Dry Mouth

1. Chin Straps

  • If your mouth is dry when you use your nasal pillows or nasal mask…that means you are opening your mouth.
  • The CPAP pressure/ air is entering your nose but it is making a U-Turn and coming out of your mouth and causing it to dry.
  • You have 2 choices….either use a CPAP CHIN Strap to keep your mouth closed …..or………use a Full Face Mask.

2. Biotene Dry Mouth Oral Rinse

  •  Try a mouthwash designed for dry mouth — especially one that contains xylitol, such as Biotene Dry Mouth Oral Rinse
  •  ACT Total Care Dry Mouth Rinse, which also offer protection against tooth decay. Many people like the taste of this.

3. Xylimelts

  • A number of people have reported success using Xylimelts tablets in their mouth while sleeping with their CPAP.
  •  I have spoken to a few Sleep specialist about it and their response ..... "If it works great. As long as the dryness is not caused from a CPAP air leakage issue .meaning you are opening your mouth while using nasal pillows or a nasal mask the dryness problem tends to go away." Please check with your doctor first about using Xylimelts.
  • Place it between your cheeks and gum.
  • Stimulates saliva flow and moisturizes your mouth.

Water Splashing in My CPAP Hose and Mask - CPAP accessories that help resolve it.

  • If you notice droplets of water in your CPAP mask  or tubing,  you are experiencing "condensation."
  • If the bedroom temperature is cooler than the temperature of your CPAP heated humidifier….you will experience droplets of water being splashed in your face.
  • Try to make equal the temperature of the bedroom and the temperature of the heated humidifier.
  • If you are NOT willing to raise your bedroom temperature or lower the temperature of your CPAP heated humidifier….you then should seriously consider using a CPAP Hose Cover.
  • The hose cover will insulate your cpap tubing.
  • It also keeps the air warm in your hose.
  • There are many brands. In fact the various CPAP manufactures themselves have started to make their own CPAP Hose Covers. They are all good. The best one in our opinion is the Snugglehose brand.
